Following the change in Whatsapp’s disappearing message feature, the option to utilize the same WhatsApp account on numerous phones by Whatsapp today (April 25, 2023) enhances the multi-device offering.
You can now join up to four other devices with same WhatsApp account, just like you can with WhatsApp on web browsers, tablets, and desktops. This is a feature that people have been demanding for. Whatsapp states that your personal messages, media, and calls are end-to-end encrypted. Thanks to the independent connections made by each linked phone to WhatsApp. If your primary device is inactive for an amount of time, WhatsApp will automatically log you out of all linked devices.
Messaging is made simpler by connecting phones as companion devices. The ability to transfer between phones without signing out allows you to continue conversations where you left them. Alternatively, if you run a small business, extra staff members can now reply to clients directly from their phones using the same WhatsApp Business account.
Whatsapp mentioned that they are launching a different and more approachable method to link to companion devices. Also, this will also be available over the upcoming weeks. Instead of scanning a QR code, you may now enter your phone number on WhatsApp Web to get a one-time code that you can use on your phone to enable device connection. In the future, we hope to add this function to more partner devices.
In the upcoming weeks, everyone will be able to access this upgrade, which has already begun rolling out to users worldwide.
